Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed
We apply citation discipline and editorial review to every article (see our editorial policy), and our calculators are tested against the worked examples in 38 CFR. Despite these efforts, errors may exist. Regulations change, rate tables are updated, and our sources may contain errors that we have not yet identified. We make no warranty, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content on this site.
If you believe any content is incorrect, please contact us at contact@bilateralfactor.com so we can review and correct it.
Rating Outcomes Are Individualized
VA disability ratings are determined by VA adjudicators based on your specific evidence of record, including service records, medical evidence, examination results, and applicable law. The combined rating our calculator produces represents the schedular arithmetic result only. Your actual VA rating may differ because of service connection determinations, diagnostic code selection, extraschedular ratings, special monthly compensation, or other adjudication factors that cannot be captured by a general-purpose calculator.
A calculator output is a reference point, not a prediction of your rating. Do not interpret any number from our site as a guarantee or official estimate of your VA compensation.
Consult Accredited Representatives
Veterans with questions about their specific claims, appeals, or disability ratings should consult a VA-accredited Veterans Service Organization representative, claims agent, or attorney. Accredited representatives are authorized by the VA to assist veterans with claims and are held to professional standards. You can search for accredited VSOs, claims agents, and attorneys through the VA Office of General Counsel accreditation search. This service is free to search and most VSO assistance is provided at no cost to veterans.
